At the end of October, Tigers fans were discussing the chances of their undefeated team gaining a spot in the SEC Championship Game and the College Football Playoff. Less than a month later while heading into the Texas A&M-LSU game, Tigers fans are now discussing whether Coach Les Miles will be fired. So goes life in the SEC.

The SEC Network will televise Texas A&M-LSU from Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Saturday. While it may seem hard to believe that Miles could be in trouble at LSU, the Tigers are just 1-6 after Halloween in 2014 and 2015.

After an exciting 7-0 start, in which LSU scored at least 34 points in six of seven games and never allowed more than 28, the Tigers have dropped three straight by a combined 99-47. And to add insult to injury all three losses – against Alabama, Mississippi, and Arkansas – have come at the hands of fellow SEC West Division teams. LSU has gone from being in sole possession of first place in the division at Halloween to the middle of the pack for the Texas A&M-LSU game.

LSU star running back Leonard Fournette was considered the Heisman Trophy front-runner after the Tigers first seven wins, in which he rolled to 1,352 yards and 15 touchdowns rushing. But in the three games leading into the Texas A&M-LSU contest, Fournette has been limited to 230 yards and two touchdowns.

The Aggies also started the season fast at 5-0, but they've been a .500 team over their past six games leading into the Texas A&M-LSU game. The three losses A&M has suffered since mid-October – against Alabama, Mississippi, and Auburn – came by a combined 90-36. So both Texas A&M and LSU have had similar problems coming down the stretch in the 2015 season.

The Texas A&M-LSU will only be the third true road game of the season for the Aggies, who have played two neutral site games. A&M lost 23-3 at Mississippi in late October and won at Vanderbilt last Saturday, 25-0.

Outside of a 31-14 loss at home against Arkansas in mid-November, LSU has been perfect in its other five home games, including a 35-28 win against then-#8 Florida in mid-October and a 45-21 win against then-#18 Auburn in mid-September.

The Tigers lead the all-time Texas A&M-LSU series, 30-19-3. Since the Aggies joined the SEC, LSU is a perfect 3-0 in this series. The Aggies last won a Texas A&M-LSU game in Baton Rouge in 1994.
