Packers vs Chiefs Week 3 MNF Pick

After the toughest loss of the NFL season to date, Kansas City is glad to have a few extra days of preparation before its next game. Unfortunately, traveling to Lambeau Field for the ChiefsPackers Monday Night Football game isnt the easiest way to pick up a feelgood win. ESPN will televise the ChiefsPackers game at 8:30 p.m.

Kansas City enters the ChiefsPackers MNF game on a significant down note, as they gave up two touchdowns in the final minute last Thursday and fell to Denver, 3124. Kansas City fans thought their team had finally broken a sixgame losing streak to Denver, but Peyton Manning threw a touchdown pass in the final minute, and the Broncos then scored defensively on a fumble return to avoid overtime and pull off the stunning comeback.

By having played last Thursday, Kansas City (11) has three extra days to prepare for the ChiefsPackers though. The extra time may be more beneficial to the Chiefs for a mental healing than a physical healing though.

Green Bay meanwhile will enter the ChiefsPackers game on a roll at 20. The Packers picked up a key SNF win against Seattle last Sunday, 2717, after they won their seasonopener, 3123, at Chicago.

Aaron Rodgers had a strong game in Green Bays win against Seattle, throwing for 249 yards and two touchdowns. He also was a perfect 9of9 throwing in the fourth quarter as Green Bay rallied from a 1point deficit. However, Green Bay may be without running back Eddie Lacy in the ChiefsPackers game, as he left the Seattle game with an injury. James Starks rushed for 95 yards in his place.

Jamaal Charles, who lost the key fumble against Denver, leads Kansas City with 230 yards rushing and receiving with two touchdowns on the season. Tight end Travis Kelce has two touchdown receptions entering the ChiefsPackers game. Quarterback Alex Smith has thrown for 434 yards with three scores this season.

Kansas City pulled the upset in the last ChiefsPackers regularseason game, winning 1914 against a 140 Green Bay team late in the 2011 season.

With this NFL season culminating in Super Bowl 50, ESPNs broadcast is sure to feature plenty of highlights from Super Bowl I, which pitted the Chiefs and Packers. Green Bay won the only Super Bowl to feature the Chiefs and Packers, 3510. Kansas City has only played in one other NFL championship game, winning Super Bowl IV. Green Bay has four Super Bowl championships (I, II, XXXI, and XLV).
