With both teams coming off a Week 7 bye and with both teams undefeated, the Sunday Night Football Packers-Broncos game may feel a bit like a Super Bowl preview, including the associated hype.

NBC will televise the Packers and Broncos at 8:30 p.m. Eastern from Mile High Stadium in Denver. With both teams having had two weeks to prepare for the SNF Packers-Broncos game, the discussion and breakdown of this game will be high. And both teams should be relatively healthy thanks to the bye weeks.

While many analysts will want to break down the Packers-Broncos game as a battle of the eventual Hall of Fame quarterbacks in Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning, the two teams both have been riding strong defensive play to their 6-0 starts.

Entering the Packers-Broncos contest, Denver is 5-0 in games decided by less than seven points this season, often coming up with key stops on defense late in the game. The Broncos havent allowed more than 24 points in a game all season, but they also have scored more than 24 points in regulation in a game only once this season.

This method of winning games is a bit of a switch from the past, where typically Denver would rely on Manning to lead a late scoring drive to win close games. Manning hasnt seemed to have been his normal self in this, his 18th NFL season, as he has only recorded one 300-yard passing game. Most alarmingly, Manning has just seven touchdown passes and 10 interceptions in six games this season. So all eyes will be on his play in this key Packers-Broncos contest.

While Denver has been involved in numerous close games, Green Bay has been more dominating leading into the Packers-Broncos game. Green Bays closest game was a 27-20 win against San Diego in Week 6, and the Packers have recorded four double digit margin of victory wins.

While the Green Bay defense has allowed more than 23 points only once, the Packers offense has clicked nicely too, scoring at least 24 points in all but one game. Rodgers also has only one 300-yard passing game this season, but his TD-to-interception ratio is where youd normally expect it for the 11-year NFL veteran at 15-to-2.

The Packers and Broncos all-time series is tied, 6-6-1. But Denver won the biggest game between the two teams, topping Green Bay, 31-24, in Super Bowl XXXII. Denver also defeated the Packers in the 1999 regular-season, but the Broncos have not defeated the Packers since then, losing three straight games in the series.
