Alabama vs Texas A&M NCAAF College Football Pick & Score Prediction

Alabama and Texas A&M have played a couple wild games since the Aggies joined the SEC – disregarding last years Alabama blowout win of course – and another great matchup should be on tap for Saturdays game between two Top 10 teams.

CBS will nationally televise the Alabama-Texas A&M game from Kyle Field in College Station at 3:30 p.m. Eastern Saturday. The Crimson Tide leads the all-time Alabama-Texas A&M series 5-2, and theyve beaten Texas A&M each of the past two seasons, including a 59-0 blowout in Tuscaloosa last season.

But its the 2012 Alabama-Texas A&M game that most people remember clearly, as brash Aggies quarterback Johnny Manziel led his team past #1-ranked Alabama, 29-24, in Tuscaloosa. The Crimson Tide managed to rally from that early November loss to win both the SEC Championship game and the National Championship game.

During the Alabama-Texas A&M game in College Station the following season, the Crimson Tide, again ranked #1, edged the #6-ranked Aggies, 49-42, even though Manziel recorded 562 total yards.

The rematch in College Station will again feature two Top 10 teams. However neither Alabama nor Texas A&M is leading the SEC West Division, as LSU (3-0) has a half-game lead on 2-0 Texas A&M. Alabama (2-1) is a full game behind LSU after a loss to Mississippi a few weeks back. Another loss in the Alabama-Texas A&M game would leave the Crimson Tide in deep trouble in trying to win their third SEC West Division title in four seasons.

Beyond the 43-37 home loss to then-#15 Mississippi, Alabama has racked up two very impressive wins against ranked teams, drilling then-#8 Georgia on the road, 38-10, and topping then-#20 Wisconsin in the season opener, 35-17. The Crimson Tide will play host to LSU in two weeks, so a win in the Alabama-Texas A&M game would keep them in good position to win the West Division.

Manziel is no longer at Texas A&M, but the Aggies still have played well this season after recording an 8-5 record in the 2014 season, their first after Manziel left for the NFL. Current quarterback Kyle Allen has thrown for 1,274 yards with 13 touchdowns and two interceptions for the Aggies.

The Aggies are coming off a bye week leading into the Alabama-Texas A&M game, and they beat then-#21 Mississippi State, 30-17, before the bye week. The Alabama-Texas A&M game will be the last of six straight games to start the season for the Aggies in which they have not played outside the state of Texas. That will end next Saturday, when they travel to Mississippi.
