In college football gamblers get too caught up in what conference a program is from. Most people who wager believe the SEC and BIG 12 are the best conferences in the country, the PAC 10 only has USC, the BIG 10 and BIG East are overrated and the MWC and WAC top teams do not have difficult schedules. So a gambler will lay points with a lower ranked team from the SEC over a top team from a non BCS conference. This mentality could be very costly picking sports when the bowl season starts.
