Bulls vs Magic Free NBA Pick
NBA
Friday, Nov. 19th 9:30 p.m. Eastern - ESPN
Chicago Bulls at Dallas Mavericks
With all of the hype in the early portion of the NBA season centered on Boston, the Lakers, and (under-achieving) Miami, it’s been easy to miss some very nice starts to the season by teams like New Orleans, San Antonio ... and two teams that will play in the back half of ESPN’s Friday NBA double-header, the Chicago Bulls and the Dallas Mavericks.
The Bulls-Mavericks game will feature two teams with a combined 13-5 record. ESPN will televise the Bulls and Mavericks at 9:30 p.m. Eastern from American Airlines Center in Dallas. The Bulls-Mavericks game will follow Oklahoma City at Boston on ESPN at 7 p.m.
Chicago (6-3) leads the Central Division in the early portion of the NBA season, while Dallas (7-2) finds itself just behind red-hot New Orleans and San Antonio in the Southwest Division.
As expected, Dirk Nowitzki tops Dallas in both scoring (23.0) and rebounding (8.6) averages. Jason Terry is adding 19.7 points per game while shooting 46.3% from 3-point range, and Jason Kidd has 10.0 assists per game.
Derrick Rose leads Chicago in scoring at 23.6 points per game to go with 9.5 assists, while Luol Deng is scoring 20.3 points per game and shooting 44.1% from 3-point range. Joakim Noah is averaging 16.5 points and 13.3 rebounds for the Bulls. Kyle Korver is scoring 8.1 points off the bench while shooting 57.1% from 3-point range for Chicago.
Both the Bulls and Mavericks will play games Wednesday before the ESPN Friday NBA game. Dallas will play at New Orleans, while Chicago is at San Antonio (also on ESPN).
Chicago and Dallas will play again Jan. 20, and that will be the final meeting of the season between the Bulls and Mavericks. The two teams played twice last season, as well, with Dallas winning both games.
