Indy Colts at Baltimore Ravens Free NFL Week 11 Pick & Preview

NFL Sunday, Nov. 22 - 1 p.m. Eastern - CBS Indianapolis Colts (8-0) at Baltimore Ravens (4-4)

For a team like the Baltimore Ravens that is looking to rebound from a rough stretch of the NFL season, a home game against the Indianapolis Colts probably would not be the first choice. CBS will regionally televise the Colts at Ravens Week 11 game at 1 p.m. Sunday from M&T Bank Stadium.

The Colts, unbeaten through the first half of the 2009 NFL season, are closing in on an AFC South Division title. The Ravens, meanwhile, opened the season 3-0 before losing four of their next five games, heading into a Monday Night Football game at Cleveland to end Week 10. For the Ravens, who still must play defending Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh twice over the final half of the NFL season, a loss to the Colts could make a wild card berth extremely difficult. Cincinnati, which has beaten the Ravens twice already this season, and Pittsburgh are ahead of Baltimore in the AFC North standings.

Both the Colts and Ravens have won games this season behind strong offensive performances. Baltimore has scored 30 or more points five times this season, winning four of those games. Heading into the Cleveland game, Baltimore is 0-3 when scoring 21 or fewer points.

Through its first eight games -- all wins -- Indianapolis scored at least 27 points five times. In those five games, the average margin of victory for the Colts was 20 points. In the three games over the first half of the NFL season where the Colts scored less than 27 points, their average margin of victory was only 3 points.

Quarterback Peyton Manning has played at an all-pro level entering the Colts-Ravens game, throwing for at least 300 yards seven times in Indianapolis' first eight games. Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco hasn't been quite as efficient as Manning, but he does have three 300-yard-plus games on the season, and the Ravens scored at least 31 points in all three games. Baltimore running back Ray Rice has become the go-to back for the Ravens, thanks to a pair of 100-yard games.

Through eight games, both the Colts and Ravens are 5-3 ATS. As a road favorite, Indianapolis is 3-0 ATS, and the Colts are 1-0 ATS as a road underdog. Baltimore has been favored in all four of its previous home games this season, going 3-1 ATS.

The Colts and Ravens last played Oct. 12, 2008, and Indianapolis won, 31-3.
